Your Destination for Quality Eye Care in Washington, DC

Hello new and old friends! We have been passionately improving our patient’s vision for 68 years now—Gulp, yes, we have been around for a long time, because we love what we do. During COVID-19 we have been dedicated to making it happen even more. We can make multiple bookings for whole families if need be. We believe in making a positive difference (and a connection) with every one of our patients, and in our community, our city, and the world. Our goal is to help our patients live fully and joyfully and to ultimately, love what they see.

A Story of The Ages—Why Our
Patients Trust Us & Love What They See

Serving ages 1 to 101! (but If you’re younger than 1 or older than 101, we’ll make an exception because you’re awesome—we like to be inclusive!). Below is a tale of our commitment to your eye health through the ages.

Pediatric Eye Exams & Myopia Control

First and foremost we believe (and so do the stats!) it is good to start young. We begin comprehensive eye exams as young as 4-5 years old to ensure the eye health of your child.

Secondly, Myopia or nearsightedness is on the rise (so take the Myopia Management Quiz), with the advent of digital technology and a lack of outdoor time. As we know 80% of learning is visual, if your child is having difficulty seeing clearly, his or her learning and/or sports career will be affected.

We Fit Contacts For Irregular Shaped Eyes

Maybe you have been told that your eyes are an odd shape or that you can’t wear contacts—well that is just hogwash. We have been fitting scleral lenses for keratoconus (that is what we call your irregularly shaped eyes) since the day they came out—about 17 years ago. For all of you with perfectly shaped eyes, we also have contacts to suit you.

We even contact lenses here in the office...We know we can find you a lens that fits your life-style.

Dry Eye Affects All Ages—The Treatment is Ageless

Itchy, scratchy, even watery eyes are the first signs of Dry Eye Syndrome. Yep, it’s a real pain in the “eye”, smile, but the upside is we have easy treatments so you don't have to suffer in silence. From dry eye, to presbyopia, macular degeneration and even removal of cataracts, you are neither too young nor too old to have better eyesight at Washington Eye Doctors.

Our Patients Say it Best

Dr Rosenblatt has been my eye doctor for many years and worked with me to get my proper correction for nearsightedness. My extra-sensitive system was previously over-corrected and his prescriptions enabled my vision to be more relaxed and stabilize. The glasses are high quality and good fit. I’m especially fond of the nearly weightless frames and lenses.
