Is Keratoconus Impacting You?

Keratoconus occurs when your cornea — the front part of your eye that focuses light — begins to thin. This causes this normally rounded frontal region to bulge outward in a cone-like shape. Aside from this physical sign of keratoconus, there are other symptoms, like blurry vision, sensitivity to light, frequent changes to your prescription, and a sudden clouding in your sight.

We Detect Keratoconus Early

During our comprehensive eye exams, we can detect the corneal thinning caused by keratoconus before it can cause damage to your vision. There is currently no cure for keratoconus, but we can keep it from worsening through targeted treatment plans. This makes early diagnosis of keratoconus especially important because the sooner we find it, the sooner we can treat it.

Keratoconus Management

There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment for keratoconus, and we’re proud to offer a variety of solutions to manage your condition while safeguarding your vision. After checking your eyes in depth and getting to know your needs during a comprehensive eye exam, we’ll tailor your treatment to you. For keratoconus, we provide a range of specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, corneal rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, and ClearKone hybrid lenses from SynergEyes. Based on how mild or serious your case is, we can also prescribe soft lenses and recommend surgical options if necessary.
